Mobile Scout Museum

Hi, we are a Mobile Museum, showing Boy Scouting Collectibles in a traveling exhibit. This Museum comes to you, just like an art or craft show, with you providing the space and other amenities needed. We love to exhibit at Scout-O-Ramas, Eagle and Gold Award Court of Honors, and District Banquets. We even bring the table center pieces if requested. It was over twenty years ago, when we started showing our museum.
This was after we picked up many scout items that seemed cute, unusual, or reminded us of experiences or events we had participated in. One such item was an old pocket knife that C.H. found while taking her first hike as a new Boy Scout Leader in 1978. Another time was when our church moved and cleaned out its old library full of Merit Badge Books. One of these was a first edition.
Showing others these scout items seemed to be the right thing to do, besides we enjoyed the opportunity to share it. Soon friends and family members asked if we had this or that item, and donated it to our exhibit if we didn't.
This collection of memorabilia continues to grow. It now contains 9 showcases of pocket knives,
pins and small items, 12 Utah National Parks Council wall panels, 8 table panels of B.S.A. books,
50 other frames and wall panels, 16 full uniforms, 16 National Jamboree wall panels, 4 other large
tables of equipment and other scouting collectibles. We also have a small collection of Girl Scout
items and Canadian items. On the complete uniform shirts we display the name of the person who earned
the awards and the years it was worn.
Can you help us attain a 1st issue Boy Scout Handbook, 1st issue Boy Scout shirt/coat with the pins and awards, and 1935 & 1937 National Jamboree items, all BSA? Some items we are willing to buy, but may not be able to pay market value. Contributions should be by straight donation, for we can not be responsible for the items on the road. Currently it is our policy to keep only the best examples of each item, and unless asked not to, we exchanged duplicates with other museums or collectors for items which we do not have.
We have taken our museum to Salt Lake, St. George, Price, Orangeville, Provo, and other Utah Towns. We would like to show for you. If you would like to engage this exhibit for your activity, or find out how you can send us your donation by snail mail, please Contact us. We only ask for a $30 service fee, plus actual travel, meal, and lodging costs. We prefer to stay in the western inter-mountain area and show on weekends. You may need to provide for us about 6 set-up banquet tables and about 75 feet of wall space. It will take about two hours to set up and one hour to take down.
If you have any question that is Boy Scout related, we will try to answer it for you, just Contact us.
